Statement for Implementation of the New Payment Methods
The Embassy of Guyana wishes to inform the public of the introduction of a new payment method for consular and visa services through the use of a Point of Sale System and an online QR Code (Alipay). Please be advised that in order to facilitate the efficient processing of payment via these methods, the Embassy request a copy of proof of payment which should be submitted along with application forms and supporting documentation when applying for consular and visa services.
Further, an additional charge of RMB 10 will be required for the processing of each application. For example, the cost to process a Business visa will be RMB 980 plus RMB 10 which totals to RMB 990 to facilitate the service charge to use the payment systems.
Please note, the Embassy will officially implement these payment methods from November 1, 2024.
